The film WARRIORS OF FUTURE (MING YUT JIN GEI) after 41 days in release yesterday evening passed HK$ 66.25 million at the box office and broke COLD WAR 2 (HONG JIN 2)'s HK$ 66.24 million record to become the top Hong Kong Chinese language film and write a new chapter in history. Louis Koo Tin Lok, Sean Lau Ching Wan and Philip Keung Ho Man were rather excited to receive the good news. Spending years of effort into making WARRIORS, Koo Tin Lok said, "I am very happy that WARRIORS OF FUTURE just passed HK$ 66.25 million to become the Hong Kong film number one, I am very moved! Because this one spent a lot of time to make, it also received the audience's support! I instead am the happiest about this round of Hong Kong films all received audience support. With all of your support, we would be able to spread even more good movies -- which is the most important!"

Lau Ching Wan said, "I too feel very happy, like Goo Jai said, recent Hong Kong films all seem to have everyone's support. This is a good start. I hope everyone would work a little harder to let Hong Kong viewers know that our Hong Kong films can be very well done, can be made so they would be a joy to behold!" Keung Ho Man happily said, "I am very proud of this performance this time, very happy! To be able to continue the full bloom in Hong Kong films, everyone would keep walking together. Hong Kong films would be better and better. This time the beautiful start is worth celebrating and be happy about!" Goo Jai in the end urged viewers who have not seen the film to hurry up and catch it, those who have seen it once to watch a few more times so they would be able to reach new heights to HK$ 70 million. Keung Ho Man cheered, "Charge!" Currently working overseas, director Ng Yuen Fai was just as excited about his directing debut's good performance. He sincerely thanked all the film's cast and crew and viewers who have supported this film, and wished that the WARRIORS OF FUTURE box office would be able to continue the climb and set new heights.

The two leads Goo Jai and Ching Wan yesterday continued to attend audience appreciation events nonstop at the movies. When the two hunks appeared the audience was rather surprised, at the end they even took a group photo together.

Koo Tin Lok said that for the past 6 weeks the team has attended over 120 audience appreciation shows. He also participated in about 70. Goo Jai said that actually Hong Kong suffered for two or three years, as the pandemic began to ease Hong Kong people should spread even more positive energy. Everyone really needed to laugh, needed to get out of this crisis. He made WARRIORS because he hoped to bring a new future to the film industry. He learned a lot himself and knew how to improve. Goo Jai was happier to see recent Hong Kong films including CHILLI LAUGH STORY (HOP GA LAT), FAR FAR AWAY (YUEN LO SHAN KA LA), MAMA'S AFFAIR (AH MA YAU JOR DAI YI GOR), TABLE FOR SIX (FAN HEI GUNG SUM) and even WARRIORS OF FUTURE all saw good performance. "Hong Kong films are gradually seeing the light, everyone have to properly cherish it. Then we would have the motivation to keep going. I am already very tired from over 60 audience appreciation shows, but that doesn't matter, everyone is fighting for the future!"

Speaking of the Hong Kong film market has been thriving in recent weeks, Lau Ching Wan also gladly said that this was a good thing. "The entire film market stopped for awhile. After getting used to watching some trendy subjects, now it can accept even more different subjects and different new comers' appearance. The wheel keeps on turning, I am not saying that we have to eliminate. Only with new forces can new motivation be created, the old pairing with the young, and the appearances of different subjects and teams, this good start hopefully will be able to continue to develop. It also needs people and technology to promote creativity."

WARRIORS OF FUTURE continued to climb at the box office. Yesterday it already broke the Hong Kong film box office record, Goo Jai before the feat said, "I too hope to set the top Hong Kong film box office record in history, to reach an even higher box office. Making a science fiction film truly isn't easy, it requires a lot of time and energy. I am all out of energy from all the pushing, so I have to rely on everyone's strength." Speaking of Goo Jai spending years of effort on making WARRIORS, when the Hong Kong box office record would be broken, would he get sentimental and be moved to tears? Goo Jai said, "Actually I am pretty tough as a person, but when the emotions arrive if tears fall from the sentiments I couldn't do anything about that. Everyone contributed a lot for the movie, so we naturally would be very happy about a good performance." Ching Wan also said that during this period too many things have brought them to shed tears of sentiments, but he hoped to take away the tears and continue to march ahead. "People would always have emotional ups and downs and moments of unhappiness, if we can't take it we would cry. After the release we should then march forward."

Goo Jai and Ching Wan after the interview went to the cinema for an audience appreciation event. Speaking of Goo Jai's next science fiction film's subject would be space, Ching Wan excitedly said, "My childhood dream is to become a spaceman." Goo Jai joked that Ching Wan's wife Amy Kwok Oi Ming once studied rocket engineering, if he had any question he could answer her directly. Ching Wan joked that when he was little he has not met his wife yet, but he felt that an astronaut indeed would be pretty cool. "When I used to watch astronauts they aren't from my own country, but in recent years China has astronauts. Most recently we even get to choose, even a Hong Konger would have a chance to be an astronaut. As long as you put an effort into your studies, you would have a chance to go to space. You can even shoot me Lau Ching Wan to Mars, taking this adventure in life would be worth the risk!"
