The film WARRIORS OF FUTURE (MING YUT JIN GEI)'s producer and star Louis Koo Tin Lok two nights ago attended an audience appreciation event and announced that the film passed the HK$ 73 million mark at the box office. He revealed that last week he did not attend any audience appreciation event because he flew to Japan to discuss collaboration with different companies and the general direction of One Cool Film's future science fiction film projects for the next 10 to 20 years. Go Jai on this trip even met with "the Father of Gundam" Mr. Kunio Okawara. "This time I mainly discussed creating a space mobile suit world with Mr. Kunio Okawara and working together on a manga." Would it be made into a movie? Goo Jai said that just publishing the manga would take some time, so it would be too early to talk about making it into a movie. However he still hoped that even more science fiction films would appear in the next 20 years for the audience to enjoy.
Two nights ago was actually Goo Jai's 52th Lunar Birthday. At the audience appreciation event, viewers sang Happy Birthday to Goo Jai. Goo Jai said that the most important of his birthday wish was for everyone to be healthy and for the film box office to go further. As for his birthday on the 21st he would turn down all jobs and stay at home to celebrate with his parents. He said, "It would be the entire family, wooden faced with the cake in front, and take a photo; just like the Addams Family!" When would he add a new family member to celebrate happily? Goo Jai said, "This tradition of being wooden faced can't be broken!" However he pointed out that having dinner at home on his birthday actually was also very happy, because Mommy would cook his favorite chicken dish. Before they even had squab, but because it was too complicated to make they no longer made it.
In addition, Goo Jai yesterday on social media stressed that his health had no major issue. Goo Jai said, "Today suddenly I got a lot of well wishes and concerns, but none were wishing me Happy Birthday!" When he saw the related news headline he realized that his interview for the film WARRIORS OF FUTURE led to a misunderstanding, thus he clarified, "Actually the headline was a little frightening, in the interview I said that several years ago the doctor said, 'if you don't treat it the nerves would die'! Several years ago I already had the operation and added titanium to the neck, after that I am already fine! So that's why earlier I said I was made of metal!"
