[2022.10.07] ROXANNE TONG DATES 10 PEOPLE AT ONCE?

Anson Kong and Karena Ng play a couple in the film.  Since they are close in age, they have no gap at all despite working together for the first time.

A group of young actors Karena Ng Chin Yu, Adam Pak Tin Nam, Chloe So Ho Yi, Anson Kong, Edward Ma Chi Kong, Roxanne Tong Lok Man, Shirley Chan Yan Yin starred in the youth romantic comedy film LOVE SUDDENLY (FUT YIN SUM DONG) earlier was postponed due to the pandemic. The film finally has been slated for a November 17th release in Hong Kong.

This was also Pretty Soup's first movie. For her first time she already had to play a girl who in order to save time on finding the real deal would see ten people at once each time. She said, "I have never played this type of character, who can at the same time have ten boyfriends. This character is exceptionally good at math!" Co-star Ma Chi Wai joked, "Pretty Soup is more amazing than me, in the film I am only seeing two people at once. Her character has to see ten at the same time, so I feel she is the real expert! People who can date multiple people simultaneously are very amazing time and space management masters."

Pak Tin Nam said that this was a youth romantic comedy. Eight actors had four different stories, each person would have their own different view on love. Playing the rich girl Chloe also agreed, "This romantic comedy would bring out very authentic Hong Kong and young people's different perspectives on love, and would also have many very funny and relatable scenes."

Chan Yan Yin played a study abroad student who returned to Hong Kong to finish her thesis. "In the film my graduation thesis is to write about the rise and fall of Hong Kong erotic films, so in the film I deliberately returned to Hong Kong for research."

AK joked that this time everyone would see an AK that has never been so shy. "Aside from television, this was the first time I played a couple with the female lead. From the beginning I was very shy, I have never been so close with a girl on a shoot. During the promotional photo shoot I was already all stiff. Such an AK would probably be very fresh to everyone." Ng Chin Yu said that although it was the first time she and AK worked together, they were close in age. They had no gap at all in communication. "Although AK didn't seem to have a lot of movie making experience, I feel he learns his acting very quickly and he is very smart. Communication wise he gets it very fast."
