Jan Lamb Hoi Fung, Louisa So Yuk Wa two nights ago attended their film THE SPARRING PARTNER (JING YI WUI LONG) premiere. Jan admitted that he only took the role because the cast and the crew attracted him. The shoot coincided with the novel coronavirus pandemic, with the heavy screenplay on top it was completed under double the pressure; Ah So admitted that the pandemic had no effect on her. To try something new during this period, she felt very happy.
Jan admitted that his previous film was already 5 years ago. This time due to many stage actors he would like to work with in the production he was drawn to the project. During the shoot the novel coronavirus pandemic erupted. The situation was intense. In addition with the closed door courtroom scenes and the heavy screenplay subject, whether in reality or on camera they had to finish under pressure. At the same time he also had to work at the radio station. If something would happen a lot would be affected. Later Jan would reprise the Poon Chan Leung directed play MY VERY SHORT MARRAIGE. He said that he was like a fish in water, because in the film he worked with So Yuk he joked that "the couple took turns to greet him" and revealed that rehearsal would begin two week after.
Earlier Jan ran a marathon in England and received support from the Hong Kong people there. He said, "You cheer for everyone at the marathon, but I treated it like they were helping me so I responded when they greeted me. It was heart warming though.' Speaking of his wife Cass Phang Ling also went to England, Jan said it was by chance. "Sometimes you have to create destiny, even at home we pretend to run into each other. I feel young again. As you know, after so many years together it really is 'You again!'"
So Yuk Wa played a veteran big time lawyer for the first time, and said that her husband Poon Chan Leung would also show his support. He just finished 50 shows of his play and was resting. At the end of the month they would go on vacation in Samui. The last time they went on vacation was in early 2020, so she was very excited. Ah So also pointed out that she has been in negotiations for plays, television series and commercials, she admitted that she would choose those with more potential and challenges. The soonest she would expect to return to work would be next year. Because currently she was teaching at the Baptist University, she would need time, energy and effort. The pandemic made many people stop, but did not affect her at all. During this period she tried new things and felt very happy. She hoped that next year everything would return to normal.
