The 60th Golden Horse Awards would take place tonight in Taipei. This year 4 Hong Kong films have been nominated, including TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES (NIN SIU YUT GEI), IN BROAD DAYLIGHT (BAK YUT JI HA), FLY ME TO HE MOON (DAN YUEN YUN CHEUNG GAU) AND THE LYRICIST WANNABE (DIN CHI L). TIME and FLY before the award received the audience's choice Best Film and the Prix FIPRESCI respectively. TIME's director Nick Cheuk Yik Him was excited about the award, admitting that he never expected that so many viewers would watch the film. He truly was very happy. Both writer and director, Sasha Chuk Chi Ngan said that FLY's prize felt like a dream come true. Brigitte Lin (Lam Ching Ha) would receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Yesterday she took a private plane and arrived in Taiwan, preparing to attend the film awards.

TIME was Cheuk Yik Him directed, Ronald Cheng Chung Kei, Wai Law Sha, Sean Wong Tsz Lok, Siuyea Lo Chun Yip and Hanna Chan starred. It was in competition for 3 Golden Horse Awards, including Best Narrative Feature, Best New Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing.

Yesterday the Golden Horse Awards announced TIME as the winner of the Audience's Choice Best Film Award. First time director Cheuk Yik Him accepted the award with the hippo doll from the film in his hand. He said, "TIME was more serious, not an easily to discuss top. I never thought that so many people would be willing to watch it, not to mention winning the audience's choice best film. I really am very happy." He would treat the film's 5 nominations normally. "I used to study film. To have the chance to come to the Golden Horse Awards, it feels like when I went to school before. Many people who like film just as much as I do are here, and we are able to chat and have exchanges."

The Chuk Chui Ngan written and directed FLY ME TO THE MON won the prix FIPRESCI, revealing that she really liked the late director Hu Bo directed AN ELEPHANT SITTING STILL. She said, "Hu Bo has won this award before, which to me has great meaning. It's a dream come true." The film has been nominated for Best New Performer and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Nominated for Best Supporting Actor with TIME, child star Wong Tsz Lok yesterday attended the Golden Horse 40 luncheon. When he appeared he kept doing different heart hand gestures. Wong Tsz Lok celebrated his 11th birthday on the 5th. When asked what birthday gift he would like, he said, "The Golden Horse Award! The best gift would be the Golden Horse Award. The nomination is like a victory in itself!"

IN BROAD DAYLIGHT was nominated for 5 awards, including Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Art Direction and Best Costume Designs. Best Actress nominee Jennifer Yu Heung Ying attended the luncheon and her red carpet walk would take the pretty route. She said that earlier she just gave birth, so clothing choices were more difficult. Thus she would choose a comfortable style. Her Best Supporting Actress nominee co-star Rachel Leung Yung Ting said, "The team is my good luck charm!"

The 69 year old Brigitte Lin would receive the Golden Horse Lifetime Achievement Award. Yesterday she posted a photo of her on a private plane on social media. She revealed that she would fly from the Hong Kong airport to Taiwan. Upon landing Taipei, she was caught at a famous noodle shop in the neighborhood.
