Hong Kong Film Awards Best Actress Cya Liu worked on an action film for the first time, felt very lucky to have worked with Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and rather admired his agility. Playing many tragic characters in recent years, she admitted that she hoped to make a romance. She would like to work with Tony Leung Chiu Wai the most, praising him as full of charisma.

Cya Liu starred in the Emperor Motion Picture CUSTOMS FRONTLINE (HOI GUAN JIN SIN), which would be her first action film. To be able to work with action director Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and "Song God" Jacky Cheung Hok Yau, she said that she was both happy and scared. She said that when she was little she already saw Ting Fung's NEW POLICE STORY, watching him jumping from great heights. She said that she grew up watching his action films, thus she felt lucky to be working with Ting Fung on her first action film. "His action scenes are very serious. This time he is the action director, during the preparation I learned a lot from him. He is very agile, on the set I really admire him."

Accepting a series of gun training before hand, she was asked whether Ting Fung, who was known to take risks, was very strict with his demands? She said, "He asks more of himself, he is more protective with us. He knows what we can do, and wouldn't let us to take risks." In the film she was faced with many thrilling scenes. She said, "I never thought that everything on the set would be real. The bombs, the explosives and the fire are very dangerous, with any carelessness you might get hurt." The most memorable for her was the scene in which she and Ting Fung had to dodge the fire while charging ahead. During the shoot she was not too worried, but when she watched the playback she learned that if the fire was not controlled well it might burn their faces. Although she did not have many scenes with Hok Yau, she praised Song God's acting was even better than his singing. Once in a singing contest, she also said that she might sing again. "I asked the company, I am just waiting for news.....haha."

Winning Best Actress with LIMBO (JI CHI), her past characters have suffered. Would she hope to make a light romance? She said, "It's fine, suffering instead is a type of enjoyment, after suffering the character is achieved. I really want to make a romantic film too, but the company says I don't have any couple feel with other people, haha." If she would work on a romance, she would like to work with Leung Chiu Wai with his pair of "electric eyes" the most. She said, "Because a lot are inside his eyes, they are very charming."

As the Best Actress, she pointed out that she would separate life and work very far apart. Outside of film she would work hard on living her very simple life. She felt that actors with life could not be good actors. The jobs she would take now are ones that she has not tried before, in the future she would like to play more realistic subjects, minor characters. With suitable roles she would also like to try foreign productions.
