Popular group MIRROR's member Edan Lui Cheuk On is getting stronger and stronger in the film industry. Yesterday he received the good news that he won the Hong Kong Movies Awards Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best New Actor to become the triple crown Best Actor and the first MIRROR member to win Best Actor! He admitted that he has been fortunate, running into good scripts and good actors soon after starting his journey, and he was very grateful.

MIRROR in recent years not only developed in music, many members like Keung To, Edan Lui Cheuk On, Anson Lo Hon Ting and Jer Lau Ying Ting also have stepped foot onto the film industry and performed decently. Earlier the 6th Hong Kong Movie Awards announced its nominations. After two rounds of voting, finally the winners are announced.

Stepping foot in film for the first time, Edan performed brilliantly. With the film CHILLI LAUGH STORY (HAP GA LAT) he defeated group mate Keung To, strong competition from Louis Cheung Kai Chung, good actor Mak Pui Tung and others to win Best actor. With another film HONG KONG FAMILY (GOR SI GOR JIT), he won Best Supporting Actor and Best New Actor to become the first triple crown Best Actor in the "Movie Awards" history. He was also the first MIRROR member to win Best Actor. This year he has been nominated twice for the Hong Kong Film Awards Best New Performer, conceivably this award would inject a shot of confidence into him!

Edan said that he has been fortunate. "At the start of my acting journey I have already run into good scripts, good roles and good elders. I am very honored." Although group mate Keung To did not win Best Actor, with his film MAMA'S AFFAIR (AH MA YAU JOR DAI YI GOR)'s theme song RAIN OR SHINE won the "Movie Awards'" newly added Best Original Film Song award.

As for HONG KONG FAMILY and MAMA'S Best Actress nominee Teresa Mo Shun Kwan, she finally with HONG defeated Louisa So Yuk Wa, Stephy Tang Lai Yun and others for the honor. In the film she played a role that was like countless Hong Kong family's Mama, quietly tolerating her silent, powerless husband who was unable to express himself well and taking care of children who were distant and isolated. She brought to life the woman of the previous generation who has been extremely stubborn toward family and marriage.

Last year's big hit movie THE SPARRING PARTNER (JING YI WUI LONG) was the big winner with 4 awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress and Best New Director. "Best Director" was Ho Cheuk Tin and "Best Supporting Actress" was Harriet Yeung Sze Man. This would be Yeung Sze Man's first silver  screen performance award after winning the 2007 Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies' Hong Kong Drama Award Best Actress (Comedy).

In addition, Keung To earlier flew to Singapore to attend a fashion label event and brought his mother and aunt along. He took the time to rest, visited "Garden By the Bay" and took many beautiful photos. At night he went swimming with his mother at the hotel, enjoyed family time, and took many photos with mother. He joked, "Sons still don't take photos well, everyone from now on please have daughters." Later he took a photo with Mother and said, "Other people hold their girlfriends' hands, I hold Mama's."
