The Louis Koo Tin Lok produced and starred science fiction film WARRIORS OF FUTURE (MING YUT JIN GEI) released a mobile phone game. Yesterday he and the film's director Ng Yuen Fai went to the Hong Kong Computer and Communication Festival to attend the related promotion and give a live demonstration of the game. However Goo Jai declined to play, revealing that he "died" whenever he played. When Ng Yuen Fai played, Goo Jai saw how well he was performing and could not help but ask whether it was his first time. He praised him as a video game genius!

Then the event invited 3 contestants to the stage for a trial. Goo Jai had a friendly chat with them and even realized an issue, bringing up to the host that they were all video game experts. Everyone would have to wait a very long time for them to finish. The host immediately changed the challenge to highest score in one minute. Goo Jai then asked the host to remember to time it to ensure fairness. Finally although victory was decided, Goo Jai also very nicely decided to give a prize to everyone and personally presented it to each contestant; he even revealed that normally he would have online chats with them. Earlier during his quarantine period when he returned from the Mainland, one of the contestants even sang for him.

In addition, Goo Jai and Ng Yuen Fai shared their production experience. Goo Jai said, "In the process we ran into many issues, but with our persistence and never quit spirit we learned and didn't need to rely on others. This for Hong Kong film is very important, not only was it growth but it also opened up a new subject to choose from."

Ng Yuen Fai particularly mentioned the highway scene was the most memorable. "First was the production difficulties, actors had to wear over 30 pounds of armor. Technically it was also demanding. Although we considered using actual location shoot, in practice we would not able to coordinate. We hope everyone would pay more attention to WARRIORS OF FUTURE." Finally Koo Tin Lok revealed a big secret. "Science fiction films would be divided into many types, this time ours is an armor film, the next one would be a space war film. The difficulty would also be elevated in comparison."

WARRIORS OF FUTURE will open on the 25th (next Thursday). Yesterday to tomorrow it would have 125 advanced screenings. From the cinema box office sales, many shows have been sold out and the response has been overwhelming. The film company yesterday announced that the IMAX version will open simultaneously on the 25th. Goo Jai said, "To be able to have an IMAX release, we of course are very happy. Under the IMAX format, we can enjoy the entire WARRIORS OF FUTURE team's production efforts in even more intricate details."

WARRIORS OF FUTURE after 15 days in release in the Mainland, as of yesterday at 5PM the box office was around HK$ 490 million. The Mainland film star Shen Teng starred MOON MAN continued to be the sole success, after 15 days its box office was around HK$ 2.99 billion! Although both films were science fiction and WARRIORS even invested over HK$ 400 million and 8 years to make, MOON left it in the dust at the box office. Recently "box office theft" even surfaced as Mainland online complaints of buying a WARRIORS ticket but getting a MOON ticket instead! MOON's team expressed that the matter has been left to law enforcement and yesterday even announced good news as it would extend its run to September 28th.

In other words the film company has completely neglected the "box office theft" storm and expanded MOON's run between the two golden slots of summer vacation and Mid Autumn Festival. Many online were upset for Koo Tin Lok, thinking that WARRIORS originally could catch up after MOON's run ended, but MOON actually wanted to "slam the door shut" and "outlast" WARRIORS at the box office!
