The Emperor Motion Picture MAMA'S AFFAIR (AH MA YAU JOR DAI YI GOR) has been a commercial and critical hit. In less than 4 days in release, the box office already broke the HK$ 10 million. Busy with the audience appreciation tour, Teresa Mo Shun Kwan and director Kearen Pang Sau Wai felt excited and encouraged. Mo Shun Kwan said, "Under the pandemic, this truly is great news. This moment i really to share the joy with my two sons Keung to and Jer, thank you again everyone for your support!" Producer, director and screenwriter Pang Sau Wai also sincerely said, "Thank you everyone, the best promotion is always the audience's word of mouth."
Keung To last night suddenly appeared at the Emperor Cinema at Causeway Bay to borrow the bathroom and caused a stir. Surrounded for pictures he gave a friendly wave. His mysterious appeared there seemed to be helping his film debut.
Many viewers have been discussing the cast performance, with praises for director Law Wing Cheong who played Keung To's Papa as the bright spot in the film. Although his role was minor, his acting touched people's hearts. In it he told Mo Shun Kwan that due to the father and son dispute he was left with a knot and guilt in his heart, and his emotional performance while watching his son's concert all became tear inducing spots. Law Wing Cheong was director Johnnie To Kei Fung's favorite and has directed several movies. In recent years he performed on screen in the film TIME (SAT CHOOK GOR WONG FUN), the television series IN GEEK WE TRUST and I SWIM. Law Wing Cheong heard about the good review for MAMA'S and said that because he liked making movies, he would naturally jump in and work. Even if the co-star was Best Actress Mo Shun Kwan he had no stress. Speaking of working with Keung To, Law Wing Cheong said that before the shoot they chatted for a hour to warm up. He shared his own real life father and son relationship, urged Keung To to relax and put guts into his performance, not to hold back in the slap scene as he would coordinate with the performance.
