Kara Wai Ying Hung and Hugo Goh (Ng Toi Yung) played a vision impaired couple in the film based on a true story, SUNSHINE OF MY LIFE (YUT LO TUNG HUNG). For the role, Wai Ying Hung was very serious with her costume and pre production preparations. Aside from working without make up and dying her hair white, with her dry eyes she also offered to wear special contact lenses to turn her eyes white and look more like a vision impaired person. She said, "In the past few decades I have never worn contact lenses for a movie because they have certain danger, but as an actor sometimes I would have to make the sacrifice and give it a try." She admitted that the contact lenses sometimes would scratch her eyes and turn them red. "I have always been applying eye drops and hoped to be able to tough out this period." Ng Toi Yung went to a blind masseuse for research. In the end their performance was very successful, received praises from the director and the viewers at advanced screenings.
