Within the HK$ 1.5 billion the Shaw Film Studio, the innovative creative space Shaw Creative Hub yesterday held an opening ceremony. Shaw Foundation president and Shaw Film Studio CEO Chan Wai Man, HKDI president Wong Lai Lin, Golden Scene film CEO Winnie Tsang Lai Fan, film director Adam Wong Sau Ping and VS Media founder and Shaw Creative Hub operator Wong Nga Fan were the guest of the ceremony. The late Shaw Brothers (Hong Kong) vice president, TVB non executive director Mona Fong Yat Wa's sisters Choi Man Chi and Lee Kit Yi also attended.

Chan Wai Man said, "The Shaw Foundation's guiding principle would be promoting culture and art preservation and heritage. Shaw Film Studio has always operated under the Foundation's support. Its proceeds would also be turned over to the Foundation for charitable purposes. They would continue on Sir and Mrs. Run Run Shaw (Siu Yat Fu)'s passion for film and hope to develop more variety at the Shaw Film Studio, provide even more well rounded support to filmmakers, encourage even more domestic film productions and further elevate Hong Kong film's position."

The hub would be at the Shaw Film Studio in Tseung Kwan O. It would occupy 11,000 square feet. Chan Wai Man pointed out that the Hub would provide active work space for the industry, like activity space and conference room, as well as post production media production facilities like green screen production sets, mixing and recording studio and editing room, to elevate the domestic production abilities. He also hoped that through the Hub Hong Kong production, distribution, film festival, film technical company and professional talent would gather together, provided with working space and facilities, create an entertainment ecological system that would be full of energy. this time the Studio in order to elevate the facilities invested HK$ 300 million. When would the budget be balanced? He said, "We have always carried the original intent to support and repay the film industry, worked hard to create a platform to provide assistance to the film industry, so I never thought about when we would be able to break even." He continued that the Shaw Foundation would bear the cost of the Shaw Film Studio, all future proceeds would go to the Foundation for charitable purposes.

Artist Sam Chan Yu Sam yesterday also attended the hub's opening ceremony. He said that this time he came to visit the facilities as a creator. When the Studio opened he was also there. This time he mainly wanted to see if they would have any opportunity to work together in the future. He pointed out that the competition in the entertainment industry was growing, as an artist he would have to work in many different areas. Soon to be a father, he said that his wife was already in the 19th week of pregnancy. The expectant date would be December 29th. For now they would choose a natural birth. He also said that now he would treat his wife like a queen and revealed that his wife worried that after the birth of their baby girl she would be out of favor and be jealous.

Chan Yu Sam earlier worked with MIRROR's Stanley Yau and Frankie Chan on a ViuTV series. He revealed that the series was originally scheduled for a November release, but he did not know whether it has been affected. He said that the concert accident shocked him. He worked with the injured dancer Ah Mo (Lee Kai Yin) on a music video. Although they were not considered close, his heart still ached for him. He said, "MIRROR needs to recover physically and emotionally. I wish for more space for them to pick up their emotions and for the injured dancers a speedy recovery."

Golden Scene chief Tsang Lai Fan and director Wong Sau Ping yesterday attended the Shaw Creative Hub opening ceremony. They felt that the new generation of directors had creativity and cared about society very much. Speaking of the Hong Kong film FAR FAR AWAY (LUEN LO SHAN KA LA), Golden Scene was the distributor and the investor. Tsang Lai Fan said that the box office was already over HK$ 1 million. The performance was considered decent and the company would arrange for more shows. "At first we worried about lead actor Kaki Sham not being attractive enough and not well known enough, but the audience response has already represented everything." As for Kaki Sham being attacked online for being ugly? She said that the audience had the freedom to criticize, but FAR was about not too handsome guy paired with pretty girls. Now the outside response could be seen as marketing, which was not a bad thing.

Wong Sau Ping said that he has always had bias against good looking people. Perhaps his film subjects were more real, he did not feel they needed to be too pretty. Some actors did not get their roles after the auditions because they were too pretty. Wong Sau Ping worked with MIRROR captain Lokman Yeung on THE WAY WE DANCE (KONG MO PAI). He said that the accident has affected him as well. After the accident he texted Lokman to comfort him. "From what I have heard so far they are pretty quiet, and they wish the injured would be able to recover soon."

Meanwhile, the Keung To and Jer Lau starred film MAMA'S AFFAIR (AH MA YAU JOR DAI YI GOR) would hold a premiere today. Emperor Motion Pictures has already confirmed that they would not appear.
