Takashi is under immense pressure to meet his tough sales quota at work. Mentally and physically exhausted, he loses consciousness at a train station and begins to fall from a platform, with a train fast approaching. At the last moment, he is saved by a man who calls himself Yamamoto and claims to be a childhood friend, who Takashi has no memory of whatsoever. After meeting the mysterious yet super-charming man, Takashi rediscovers his old cheerful self, and his job performance gradually improves. Then one day, Takashi looks Yamamoto up on the internet and finds a shocking truth: Yamamoto had died three years ago.

[ BROADWAY CIRCUITS ]
May 1980. A Seoul taxi driver named Man-seob comes across an offer too good to be true. If he drives a foreign passenger from Seoul down to Gwangju and back again before the curfew, he'll be paid the unthinkable sum of 100,000 won – enough to cover several months of unpaid rent. Without stopping to ask the details, he picks up the German reporter Peter and sets off along the highway.

Although stopped by police roadblocks at the edge of Gwangju, Man-seob is desperate to earn his taxi fare, and eventually manages to find a way into the city. There they encounter students and ordinary citizens taking part in large-scale demonstrations against the government. Man-seob, alarmed by the danger in the air, pleads with Peter to go quickly back to Seoul. But Peter ignores him, and with the help of a university student Jae-sik and a Gwangju taxi driver named HWANG, begins shooting with his news camera. As time passes the situation grows more and more serious, and Man-seob keeps thinking of his young daughter at home all alone.

[ THE FILM CATALOGUE ]
In 1963, illegal immigrant Howard snuck into Hong Kong. Equipped with guts and combat skills, he plunged into the underground world where he found how corrupt Hong Kong was as a colony under the British authority, and how the police were in collusion with the triads in a black money community.

Howard struggled between two folks who came from his hometown – righteous police constable Gregory who was honest and refused to take bribes and Wayne, who was greedy, lustful and dishonourable. Howard chose to side with Wayne and joined the triads.

After striving through much adversaries as being set up, betrayed and physically crippled, the once good-natured Howard has transformed into a monster. He became more atrocious than the most corrupted cops and more beastly than the most ruthless drug dealers. He finally emerged as the number one and most powerful Drug Lord under the control of the Chief Chinese Superintendent, Lionel.

With the establishment of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) in year 1974, Lionel was forced into premature retirement, while Howard still would not be stopped, as he was determined to become the sole dictator in the drug empire...
