The Hong Kong Film Critic Society two days ago selected the "27th Hong Kong Film Critic Society Award" 5 major category winners and five recommended films. Yesterday the winners were announced. Due to the overall film quantity sharply dropped in 2020, this year after six hours of fierce debate and three rounds of voting, Best Film INSIDE THE RED BRICK WALL, Best Director LEAP's Peter Chan Ho Sun; Best Screenplay MEMORIES TO CHOKE ON, DRINKS TO WASH THEM DOWN's Leung Ming Kai and Kate Reilly, Best Actress Leap's Gong Li were chosen; the Best Actor category was left empty due to a lack of films and of actors with very outstanding performance. Five recommended films included KEEP ROLLING, MEMORIES TO CHOKE ON, DRINKS TO WASH THEM DOWN, 3CM, LEAP, and ONE SECOND CHAMPION.

ONE SECOND CHAMPION's lead actor Endy Chow Kwok Yin responded, "First I am very grateful that Hang Jai (director) asked me to participated in ONE SECOND CHAMPION. Hang Jai is a very passionate director and screen writer. I am very happy to have this friend. he gives me even more confidence to develop as an actor. I thank the Hong Kong Film Critic Society for the recommendation. I hope through ONE SECOND CHAMPION to bring even more energy to the audience, strengthen them and make the world even better." Director Chiu Sin Hang replied, "I wish that the pandemic would pass quickly, cinemas would open again, everyone can go to the movies and support ONE SECOND CHAMPION. I wish everyone good health, see you after the cinemas open up again!"
