The 2010 Yuen Woo Ping latest 3D martial art film TRUE LEGEND (SO HAK YI) will be released on February 11 for the Lunar New Year.

Yuen Woo Ping in order to design an exciting and memorable opening has begun construction of a 5,000 square meter fortress set since early September 2008. The construction took three months. The fortress set had rope bridges, plank roads and a deep moat. The entire set was mainly built with wood. The realistic giant background was all constructed with wood, then tied down with metal wires and finally concrete was poured over it. Over 20,000 pieces of wood were used, over ten tons of metal wire and several dozen ton of concrete. The cost reached nearly 4 million yuan. With actors, labor and post production computer special effects, this ten minute opening fight scene cost 10 million. It was the most expensive scene in TRUE LEGEND and the largest studio scene in China's film history.

Vincent Zhao Wenzhou, Andy On Chi Kit, Guo Xiaodong, Jacky Heung Jor and Le Cung all had exciting action performance in this film. With over 1,000 extras and stunt professionals, the director used a mini helicopter to shoot from the air to successfully complete this this grand scene. In order to ensure the safety of many actors during the shoot, an ambulance was on call outside the set just in case.
