Sandra Ng Kwan Yu, Charlene Choi Chuek Yin and Jim Chim Shui Man starred BEAUTY ON DUTY (MEI LAI MUK LING) opened on Easter and performed decently at the box office. It even became the top grossing Hong Kong film. Reportedly the film company and director Wong Jing are considering a sequel and discovered Ng Kwan Yu and Hui Siu Hung's costume photos that resembled the sequel.

Kwan Yu explained that the photos were not for the sequel's costumes but never before seen stills from BEAUTY. She said that in the scene everyone wore costumes. She regretted that it was not in the film for the audience to enjoy. Director Wong Jing explained that because of the film length it was cut. He said, "Even if I completed the script, the actors don't have time! Actually everyone's costumes were very funny. Hui Siu Hung as a woman could truly rival Wong Cho Nam." Wong Jing expressed that later he will include several never before seen scenes in the DVD.
