The Shaw film 72 TENANTS OF PROSPERITY (72 GA JO HAT)'s Happy Lunar New year wrap press conference yesterday took place at the Shaw Film Studio. Over 1/3 of the cast attended. This Lunar New Year will have many film releases, including Raymond Wong Pak Ming's ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL TOO (FA TIN HEI SI) and Miriam Yeung Chin Wa and Alan Tam Wing Lun's CHOI SUN DOH (FORTUNE GOD ARRIVES). Chi Wai joked that he knew what Wong Pak Ming had in store and said that his Lunar New Year film would be the easiest to beat.

Yesterday attendees included leads Jacky Cheung Hok Yau, Anita Yuen Wing Yi, Stephy Tang Lai Yun, Bernice Liu Bik Yi, Kate Tsui Tsz Shan, Raymond Lam Fung, Nancy Sit Ka Yin and rumored couple Charmaine Sheh Si Man and Kevin Cheng Ka Wing. Due to the numerous Mainalnd media presence the press conference took place in Putonghua. However, Stephy had no idea and spoke Cantonese. Chi Wai asked her to use Putonghua.

Director, producer and actor Chi Wai yesterday put in a lot of effort and even had a series of verbal gems. A Mainland reporter pointed out that two nights ago Wong Pak Ming at a new film event said that his ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL TOO should be box office champion, with 72 TENANTS OF PROSPERITY in second and CHOI SUN DOH in third. Chi Wai immediately struck back, "I have known Wong Pak Ming for years, what he's got I already knew long ago. I saw how rotten that film last year was and still made money, so this year I join the fray. I have a lot of confidence in beating his movie."

Tsui Tsz Shan and Liu Bik Yi yesterday dressed provocatively. Tsz Shan even used a "push-up". Chi Wai joked, "Tsz Shan built hers, Liu Bik Yi is for real. You can tell real and fake with one look. Only with more than one and a half pad can she achieve this amazing result." Tsz Shan said that Bik Yi was real and hers was fake, an addition. She joked that she "knew what she got".

The event showed a lot of footage from the film. In one scene Cheung Hok Yau imitated Stephy's off key LIGHT BULB (DIN DUNG DAM) performance, Stephy only gave an awkward smile. Earlier Stephy expressed that she asked the director about this scene. When she learned that Hok Yau sang it she did not mind, because Hok Yau's performance of her song was a honor. In addition she was on the set on the day of the shoot. She said that this happened a long time ago, and another film of hers earlier already made fun of it. She did not mind.
