After its Hong Kong premiere, the New Year film BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS (SUP YUET WAI SING) two nights ago held a premiere in Beijing. The entire team gathered to promote the film. Michelle Reis (Lee Ka Yun) who did not attend the premiere press conference two days ago walked the red carpet with Leon Lai Ming that night. Speaking of their scene together, Lai Ming revealed that he did not see Lee Ka Yun because although they were at the same place they shot their scenes at different times. Ka Yun revealed that ten years ago she already agreed to star in the Teddy Chan Tak Sum directed film, but she had to wait ten years to fulfill this wish.

Before the premiere, the film's producers Peter Chan Ho Sun, Huang Jianxin, director Teddy Chan Tak Sum led actors Lai Ming, Tony Leung Ka Fai, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Hu Jun, Wang Xueqi, Chris Li Yuchun, Fan Bingbing, Zhou Yun and Wang Po-Chieh attended an afternoon premiere press conference two days ago. The film's single day box office last Saturday already broke 53 million and set a new record. What expectation did Chan Ho Sun have for BODYGUARDS' box office? He expressed that records are broken everyday so he would not predict the box office. With the right timing, location and people, advantageous objective and subjective elements, anything was possible.

Many who have seen the film said that they saw a different Tse Ting Fung because he always played cool before. This time he was particularly sunny, his beautiful smile was something that everyone rarely saw. Ting Fung felt that this character was more than what he could ask for. When the directors asked him to play the rickshaw puller, he felt that the character had an extreme breakthrough from his past ones and was immediately agreed. He said that the character was very naive and very faithful in love. Ting Fung honestly said that in real life he would consider himself a rather faithful husband. Will he take Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi and their son to watch this film? He expressed that naturally he would. Pak Chi is pregnant, would that be suitable? He said that it is suitable for all pregnant women to watch.

When Lai Ming was asked whether he would take his wife Gaile Lok he danced around the question. "Gaile Lok isn't pregnant yet." Although the film was mainly male driven, it still had three beauties Fan Bingbing, Zhou Yun and Lee Ka Yun. Did Lai Ming feel Lee Ka Yun was a female lead? He was somewhat upset. "BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS isn't a beauty contest, I am not a girl, I also don't care who is the female lead." A reporter said that Lai Ming's FOREVER ENTHRALLED performance was considered elegant but in BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS he seemed to be average. Lai Ming continued his dance. "My principles in life is clearly black and white. In FOREVER ENTHRALLED I was very white, in BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS I was very black. They are the perfect match." He and Zhang Ziyi sang the FOREVER ENTHRALLED theme song, why did Li Yuchun have the exclusive right this time? Lai Ming remained angry. "Tse Ting Fung, Fan Bingbing they all can sing, why not ask them? (You are a Heavenly King!) In this world no Heavenly King exists. All of the actors are from Earth." He also said that life is fair. To him if he did the same thing every time that it lost freshness. Thus this time he did not sing the theme song.

Fan Bingbing not only performed completely without any make up but also played the mother of a four year old girl. Bingbing said that all of her motherly emotions in the film were based on her own mother's. Mama Fan has already seen the film in Hong Kong and even praised Lee Yuchun's performance as great. At the press conference, a reporter kept giving Bingbing a hard time and she kept a friendly attitude in her response. While she resolved the awkward atmosphere, Lai Ming fought on her behalf and looked for that reporter. He honestly said that he sympathized with Bingbing because that reporter obviously was trying to anger artists.

Li Yuchun honestly said that all the action scenes in her first film was very difficult. "From the beginning when I met with the director then took the role, to when I studied martial art with an instructor, I absolutely had no experience in this territory. I feel overcoming my own mental obstacles was a little harder."
