The Lunar New Year film slot had many Chinese and foreign film releases. From the Lunar New Year's Eve to the Lunar 4th (February 9th to February 13th), the film box office over 5 days had HK$ 48,646,521 in total. In comparison to the 2023 Lunar New Year's revenue of HK$ 63,990,907, the decline ws 23.98%. However the top three highest grossing Lunar New Year films were all Hong Kong films; among them TABLE FOR SIX 2 performed the best, over 5 days its box office was HK$ 21,083,936; in second was THE MOON THI4V3S (DOH YUET JEH) with HK$ 11,397,485. In third was ROB N ROLL (LUM SI GIP ONG) with HK$ 5,325,005. From 4th to 6th place were in order: SPY X FAMILY CODE: WHITE with HK$ 4,775,105 (cumulative box office HK$ 12,215,309), MIGRATION with HK$ 3,320,070 (cumulative box office HK$ 3,764,423), and ARGYLLE with HK$ 1,536,275 (cumulative box office HK$ 4,678,574). TABLE FOR SIX 2's screenwriter and director Sunny Chan Wing Sun shared a video in which he announced the film already surpassed HK$ 20 million at the box office with actors Stephy Tang Lai Yan, Louis Cheung Kai Chung, Peter Chan Charm Man and others.
