Karen Mok Man Wai yesterday attended a new concept store opening. Reportedly Stephen Chow Sing Chi would like to remake THE CHINESE ODYSSEY (SAU YAU GEI). Karen honestly said that she has heard about it but Sing Yeh has not contacted her yet. However she already felt very honored to be able to make THE CHINESE ODYSSEY. If Sing Yeh asked would she make it? Karen said, "I would be fine with anything he would ask me to play, being able to make the film again of course would be a honor. I believe no one would be a better white bone demon than me! However the remake content and characters would be different. (Would you recommend herself?) He has his ideas."

Speaking of Will Smith's son Jaden Smith as the Monkey King and whether he would be too forward, Karen thought it was a decent idea. The more expected the idea is the better it is, because the film itself was rather science fiction and Sing Yeh himself was rather forward. Karen continued, "Actually I visited the set when Jackie Chan and Jaden were working on THE KARATE KID, he was very polite and handsome. With his martial art background he shouldn't have any problem."
