The Hong Kong Screenwriters Guild yesterday presented its 2019 awards. The event invited Director Stanley Kwan Kam Peng to be the guest presenter. Ray Yeung with SUK SUK received two awards including "Recommended Screenplay" and "Best Film Character". The "Best Film Character" went to the Ray Yeung and Tai Bo played character Ah Pak. Ray Yeung said, "I am very honored for SUK SUK to receive the Screenwriters Guild's support. I thank Brother Tai Bo for giving such an exciting performance of the character Ah Pak."
In addition, SUK SUK actually had quite a connection with Director Kwan Kam Peng. Ray Yeung said that Kwan Kam Peng really liked this script and even helped him with finding investors. He said, "After finishing the film he even asked (William) Chang Suk Ping to help with the editing. I really want to thank him for that. I really want to thank so many people in the Hong Kong film industry for their support and recognition, I am very touched."
