The film POKER KING moved its production to Macau. With the support of many giant casinos, the film shot on actual locations in Galaxy StarWorld, City of Dreams and Grand Waldo. From the gambling floor, the private rooms to the entire casino, the film achieved elegant grandeur and solid feel and completely shook off the past Hong Kong gambling film's antiquated style.
In order to coordinate with Macau's glittering "Eastern Las Vegas" environment, Lau Ching Wan who played a gambling king in the film, Louis Koo Tin Lok who played a gambling giant and Josie Ho Chiu Yi who played a gambling queen appeared in many brand name labels, expensive watches and luxury cars. Everything Ching Wan wore was Ferragamo, and his watch was Frank Muller. Playing Ching Wan's rival Ho Chiu Yi had nearly seven figures in costumes. The film's three poker king also had many vehicles, like the stretched Hummer, Ferrari and the latest Bentley model.
