The film THE MIDNIGHT AFTER (NA YEH LING SUN, NGOR JOR SEUNG LIU WONG GOK HOI WONG DAI PO DIK HUNG VAN) two nights ago only won the Best Original Film Score. Actors Kara Wai Ying Hung, Lam Suet, Tsui Tin Yau and director Fruit Chan Gor attended the celebration. Winners Ellen Loo (Lo Hoi Tung) and Veronica Lee Shui Han attended. This time was Ellen's first film score. She felt that it was a good experience, anything that she lacked Lee Shui Han made up for it. She said as that when she scored the film she was in a really bad mood, but she focused on her work and the director did not notice any difference; actually every morning after she got up she cried, after that she went to work. When she got home she cried again. That period lasted one to two months, she too has considered to only work on film scores in the future and never perform again. Ellen thanked the doctor and the medication for their help. Now she understood that when she was stuck she should share with her family and friends, instead of waiting until the last minute to ask for help. She also said that the award was the greatest encouragement for her "comeback". She wrote online, "I have never imagined that men would whistle at me in this life. Last night I really heard! it! for! the! first! time!"

Wai Ying Hung two nights ago did not win Best Supporting Actress. She said that she was not disappointed and felt that the result was reasonable. She also picked Ivana Wong Yuen Chi To win. Siu Hung said that it was good for the film industry to have new faces. The audience recognition was already great. Sandra Ng Kwan Yu said that comedy was at quite a disadvantage at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Siu Hung said that action film was at just as much a disadvantage. Martial action fighting did not mean that the actor did not know how to act, and knowing how to cry did not mean that the actor knew how to act. It all depended on the jury taste. She said that drama indeed had an advantage but in recent years many action and comedy films were nominated as well. It was not lopsided. Would she make more drama to increase her award winning chances? She said that she has already retired from fighting. She hoped everyone would see her in other genre films. She was very pleased with her two previous films.
