Lau Kar Leung's funeral services are set to begin on July 23rd at the Universal Funeral Parlor and the funeral will be the 24th. Lau Kar Leung's obituary was published yesterday. Master Lau had 7 children, including his children from a former marriage, Wing Keung, Oi Yi, Li Yi, Yuk Yi and Bo Yi; and his daughters with Mary Jane Reimer (Yung Jing Jing), Man Yi and Hung Yi. Yesterday Yung Jing Jing also announced the pallbearer list, which consisted of Master Lau's friends like John Tsang Chun Wa, Shek Chi Bun, Karl Maka, John Chiang Dai Wai, Yasuaki Kurata, Chi Kuan-Chun, Tong Kai and Nat Chan Pak Cheung. Aside from Financial Secretary Tsang Chun Wa whose connection with Master Lau was due to Hung Kuen, the others were all film industry friends. Shek Chi Bun was Shek Kin's son, he and Master Lau have been friends for several decades.
Yesterday Yung Jing Jing continued to perform charity work for Master Lau. She and her daughters volunteered to distribute rice in Tin Shui Wai. In the future she will continue to distribute rice to seniors in other places like Kwai Shing, Tai Po and Tai O.
Earlier she also visited Sheung Shui's HOME OF LOVING FAITHFULNESS, which took in handicapped orphans. On the day of Master Lau's funeral, the hall will be decorated like a martial art school and need a lot of fabrics (1,300 yards). She revealed that after the funeral the fabrics will be donated to the home. The obituary also stated that for the environment, donations should be sent in lieu of flowers.
