According to Korean media reports yesterday, Tony Leung Chiu Wai will head to Korea to attend the 27th Busan International Film Festival and receive the Asian Film Award. This year the Busan International Film Festival will hold the IN THE MOOD FOR TONY LEUNG special film exhibit, which will screen six films that Leung Chiu Wai personally selected: 2046, EAGLE SHOOTING HEROES (DONG SING SAI JAU), INFERNAL AFFAIRS (MO GAN DOH), THE LONGEST NITE (UM FA), HAPPY TOGETHER (CHUN GUONG JA SIT) and IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE (FA YEUNG NIN WA). Reportedly, Wai Jai will meet with the audience after two of the screenings.
In addition, the Teresa Mo Shun Kwan, Edan Lui Cheuk On and Anson Lo Hon Ting starred HONG KONG FAMILY (GOR SI GOR JIT) was also selected for the 27th Busan International Film Festival. The story was inspired by new director Eric Tsang Hing Weng's family experience. He personally directed this film about communication and relationship between family members.
This year the Busan International Film Festival will take place between October 5th and 14th in Busan, Korea.
