Nick Cheung Ka Fai's directing debut HUNGRY GHOST RITUALS (YU LAN SUN GUNG) two nights ago held its premiere at the Sunbeam Theater. Attending actors included Annie Liu (Lau Sum Yau), Cathryn Lee Yuen Ling and Carrie Ng Ka Lai. Lollipop F member Wayne Liu (A Wei), Patrick Tam Yiu Man, Michelle Wai Si Nga were among those who supported their support. To coordinate with the film's subject, the theater was decorated with the paper dolls with Ka Fai and Sum Yau's likeness and arranged for two long haired "female ghosts" to pose for photos with guests.
Ka Fai said that he looked forward to watching the audience reaction very much. Unfortunately the next day he had to promote in the Mainland. As for the release of his first film, he said that he would not be nervous. He was so ambitious that he wanted a great performance, and he would not think about the box office and awards. How would he celebrate if it would reach 10 million at the box office? Sum Yau jokingly asked Ka Fai to take everyone on vacation to the Maldives. Ka Fai immediately declined. "You should tell the film company."
Sum Yau was dressed conservatively and the spotlight went to the provocative dressed Cathryn Lee. Sum Yau joked that she was waiting for her body to develop and believed that ten years later sh would be able to. Cathryn Lee said that she has already taken the full precaution against wardrobe malfunction. As for her bottom line, she said that the most important was a healthy image. In the film she played Ka Fai's sister. They had a lot of scenes together. Cathryn Lee praised Ka Fai for taking great care of everyone during the shoot.
Oxide Pang Shun's "third party" Liddy Li currently is in hiding in the Mainland. Her film SEI FEI will be released in October. The film's director Wong Pak Kei two nights ago showed his support for Ka Fai and was asked if he had any contact with Liddy. He said that he did and she has agreed to promote the film. She did not complain to him. Did he contact his mentor Pang Shun? Wong Pak Kei said that he has consoled him and Pang was okay.
Lollipop's former manager Brother Andy was accused of sexual assault. Lollipop F member Wayne Liu (A Wei) did not believe this and said that Brother Andy needed space and probably would speak with everyone soon. He admitted that they have kept in touch and would meet to chat. The news was quite a surprise. A Wei believed that no matter what Brother Andy's mood would be affected. He would approach him later after he settled down.
In addition, Ka Fai yesterday flew to Beijing for his film TEMPORARY FAMILY (SUT LUEN GUP YEUNG) press conference, but lead actresses Sammi Cheng Sau Man and AngelaBaby were absent due to work. Also on hand was the Super Boy singing contest runner up Oho Ou.
Speaking of the World Cup, Ka Fai thought the Suarez biting scene was very memorable. He and Oho Ou daringly predicted the World Cup winner. If their guesses were wrong, they would perform push up for 3 minutes at the TEMPORARY FAMILY premiere.
