DEAREST ANITA recently at Canada's 7th Vancouver Chinese Film Festival won 4 awards. Aside from the Best Cantonese Film of the Year, lead Myolie Wu Hung Yi won Best Actress, Sonija Kwok Sin Nei won New Popularity award and directors Clifton Ko Chi Sum and Leung Pak Ho won Best Director.

Ko Chi Sum said, "The most important is Wu Hung Yi's award. She just had a baby, now she won Best Actress. Congratulations to her on double the happiness." Because Hung Yi had to be with her baby she was not able to attend but she prepared some words that in case she won she would ask Ko Chi Sum to read for her. Hung Yi in her speech wanted to thank the director the most for asking her to play this character, as well as all of the Mui Nation members. In the end she wanted to thank Sister Mui (Anita Mui Yim Fong). She said that she never thought about winning an award during the shoot. She was already very happy to be a part of the film and very honored that overseas viewers were able to see this film.
