The Mabel Cheung Yuen Ting produced, Alex Law Kai Yui directed film ECHOES OF THE RAINBOW (SHUI YUET SUN TAU) is competing at the Berlin Film Festival's Generation section. Days ago they led lead actors Simon Yam Tat Wa, Araif Lee Chi Ting, and Chung Siu To to attend the event. The film held its premiere on the Lunar New Year's Day. A rose parade was held locally, the directors and the cast took photos with fresh flowers.

The film was very popular at the event. Some viewers rushed to the premiere without washing their faces then they said to the director, "Your film is such a tear jerker, it's not a big deal that we didn't wash our faces." The director was very pleased because at first he was afraid that foreign viewers would not relate to the Hong Kong nostalgia. The autograph session after the premiere was also very cheerful. Everyone praised the film as touching and the actors' performance as exceeding quality.

Monica Mok Siu Kei's film OCEAN FLAME participated in last year's Cannes Film Festival. Earlier she performed in the Wang Quan'an directed new film APART TOGETHER, which opened the 60th Annual Berlin Film Festival. Siu Kei said that she has always longed to work with the director. Although the director was very absolutist, she felt very lucky. Siu Kei pointed out that the director could accurate tell her the condition that was needed. He did not want any actor to come up with any spontaneous creativity or design. He hoped that the actors would live everyday in their characters. Siu Kei did not feel the director's absolutism was hard to adjust to. Instead she was more in character. She also hoped to have a chance to play a villain later.
