[2010.02.19] WU CHUN'S FIGHT SCENE MAKES HIS NIECE CRY

courtesy of singtao.com

Wu Chun returned to Brunei for the Lunar New Year but did not forget to promote his new film 14 BLADES (GUM YI WAI). He took his sister's children to see the movie, but the bloody fight scenes scared his 7 year old niece. The little girl cried on the spot. Wu Chun immediately comforted her, told her that it was fake and her uncle was not in pain.

Although Wu Chun was in good shape, working on action scenes hyper extension was inevitable due to excessive use of force. Wu Chun also forgot to adjust her breathing and fainted. Yet he joked that biggest reward from 14 BLADES was more flexibility. During the Lunar New Year in Brunei, everyday he was working out and did not forget to practice kung fu and stretch. Even his five year old nephew was affected. He put up a 14 BLADES film still for his nephew to train with. Wu Chun said that after working with Donnie Yen Chi Tan for the first time they built a friendship. Chi Tan in order to maintain his shape deliberately controlled his diet during the shoot. Wu Chun honestly said that he could not achieve that.
