The 2020 Summer Vacation slot has ended. The Hong Kong Box Office Co. Ltd. yesterday announced the summer vacation film box office numbers between July 1st and August 31st. Due to the pandemic and cinema closings, this summer vacation's total box office receipt was only HK$ 37,467,358, a drop of over 90% from last year's HK$ 391,862,695. In second was the Korean film PENINSULA, after only 4 days it already approached HK$ 8.6 million. In third was the Hong Kong film LEGALLY DECLARED DEAD (SEI YUN MO HOR YI) with over HK$ 4 million. Another Hong Kong film MY PRINCE EDWARD (GUM DOH) made HK$ 988,884 in sixth place.
