The Anita Mui 10 Memorial Concert organizer Jacky Cheung Hok Yau admitted, "I don't know why it has to be done, but I really want to do it." Thus, he and Eric Tsang Chi Wai started to organize this concert. They notified Mother Mui ahead of time and invited her to attend. If the concert would lose money, they would make up the difference. If it would make money it will be donated to charity. The attending guests all have been selected. They all have direct or indirect connection to Ah Mui. They would also ask the audience to wear black and white as the dress code. Hok Yau hoped that everyone would respect Ah Mui and make Ah Mui proud for once!

The Anita Mui 10 Memorial Concert will take place on December 30th at the Wanchai Convention Center. Organizers Cheung Hok Yau and Tsang Chi Wai yesterday attended the press conference, Chi Wai said, "'Hong Kong Daughter' Mui Yim Fong has already passed away for 10 years, everyone and Ah Mui's friends all missed her very much and wanted to do something for Ah Mui." He said that Hok Yau was the real organizer and chief producer. He has never seen Hok Yau so serious before and attended so many meetings. Hok Yau said, "I don't know why it has to be do, but I really want to do it and it should be done. Ah Mui's performance in and contribution to film and music is beyond any doubt. On December 30 Ah Mui would have passed away for 10 years, I feel that show business friends should at least officially salute Ah Mui and let everyone remember Mui Yim Fong."

Chi Wai pointed out that the concert will not be a purely singing concert. They did not want a crowd, only nostalgia. Thus Hok Yau chose all the attendees, all of whom had direct and indirect connection to Ah Mui.

He and Hok Yau denied that they argued over whether tickets would be sold to the public. Hok Yau said, "I originally wanted to raise money with Cheung Yiu Wing and others to finish the event, but Chi Wai wanted public participation. So we decided to sell tickets. We will cover any loss, and any profit will be donated to charity organizations that Ah Mui has helped before. The concert accounting will be open to the public after 60 days."

The venue can hold over 7,000 people, half will be sold to the public. Originally yesterday tickets went on sale, but because guest seating arrangement it was delayed until 10AM this morning. People who bought tickets yesterday would not be affected. At the same time, they hoped that attending friends and viewers would not dress colorfully. The dress code would be black and white. Hok Yau said, "If you will not wear the required clothing color, we will refund the ticket at most. I hope everyone will respect that." That night television and radio stations will broadcast the event live, but only once that night. No merchandise will be sold that night either.

Before hand, they notified Mother Mui and they would invite Mother Mui to attend. Who will attend? They said that they did not want to reveal that for now. Chi Wai pointed out that he has made several dozen calls. Some really wanted to come but could not. All the attendees will be volunteers. The concert will last about a hour and a half, everyone will share Ah Mui's life highlight. The concert will have no encore. Were they concerned about ticket scalping with public ticket sale? Chi Wai pointed out that each person was only permitted to buy 4 tickets. Hok Yau said that he had no pressure with organizing this concert, he just wanted Ah Mui to be proud for once. He said, "It's been 10 years, I seem to owe her something. I really want to do it, ultimately someone has to." When asked he will organize it once a year from now on, Hok Yau said that he will not be able to.
