Gordon Lam Ka Tung, Cya Liu, director Ang Lee's son Mason Lee, director Soi Cheang Pou Soi, producers Wilson Yip Wai Shun and Paco Wong yesterday at the Hong Kong International Film and Television Market promoted their murder suspense LIMBO (JI CHI). Lam Ka Tung remembered spending his birthday in the garbage dump, not only did he have to tolerate the trash and feces stench but also see rats scurrying across. Cya Liu described the work environment as very dirty and her character was constantly being chased by Lam Ka Tung.

Lam Ka Tung said that during the 3 months of making LIMBO, he had to punch, kick and torture Cya Liu. He might look like he enjoyed it but he felt very sorry inside. He said, "The director wanted me to be a little more vicious and not to hold back. My hands hurt from all the hitting. Cya Liu just let me hit and her face was swollen from getting hit. However everyone rather enjoyed it." Cya Liu joked that she really liked to make Hong Kong films but she never imagined it would be so tough. She felt that Hong Kong directors were very deranged. She also thanked Lam Ka Tung for hitting her, but everyday after work she would be full of injuries.
