Recently Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi was rumored to be intended on retiring from film, settling in Canada with her sons Lucas and Quintus and enrolling them in their school their. In addition her assistant resigned to recover from illness. Yesterday some of Hong Kong schools begin their year, coincidentally someone online posted Pak Chi enrolling Lucas into school in Canada and Quintus cheered her brother on. However, her manage stressed that Pak Chi has not retired. Only because her children were summer vacation she concentrated on taking care of them; in October she is expected to return to work on a film that Stanley Kwan Kam Peng will produce. Pak Chi will even play an old lady, which was be very challenging for her. Her sons will remain in Vancouver for school.
Meanwhile Kwan Kam Peng sounded somewhat upset when he said, "Nothing is confirmed yet, why would they just blur it out like this?" Kwan Kam Peng pointed out that he only received the script but no detail has been confirmed. He is actively planning for FONG LONG GEI, which will start production early next year with Vicki Zhao Wei and Joan Chen.
