Takeshi Kaneshiro (Gum Sing Mo), Song Hye-Kyo and Huang Xiaoming attended the film THE CROSSING I (TAI PING LUN: LAU SAI FAU SUN)'s premiere in Taiwan. Huang Xiaoming had the support of female fans, while Gum Sing Mo even had more male fans screaming "I love you!" Director John Woo (Ng Yu Sum) praised Gum Sing Mo as a good actor who is becoming more and more charming, with the elegance of the 60s and the 70s stars. He also said that Gum Sing Mo was passionate with people and understood film. He even helped extras with their performance. Ng Yu Sum even saw directing potential in Gum Sing Mo. If he wanted to direct he would gladly be his co-director. They could work on a comedy together. At the event, Mickey Huang during Gum Sing Mo's interview asked him not to be mysterious. Gum Sing Mo said, "I will try not to!" He also gave a thumbs up to the brave love of Huang Xiaoming and Song Hye-Kyo in the film. He was envious.

Song Hye-Kyo's Taiwan promotional trip was so rushed that she did not have time to eat. She said that she was very hungry and wanted to eat anything and everything, she especially said in Mandarin that she wanted watermelon. When Huang Xiaoming learned that she was hungry he asked the crew to give her food that fans gave him from the room, and she was very pleased. He said that in the film he had a dance scene with her, he kept worrying about stepping on her bare feet.
