China Star's new star Mia Yan Qing who supposedly resembled Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi in the new film WRITTEN BY (JOI SUN HO) played Lau Ching Wan and Kelly Lin (Lam Hei Lui)'s daughter. Due to an accident her family was shattered and she lost her sight. She relieved her pain through writing a novel. To her the role was considered a new acting challenge.

Yan Qing promised her bosses Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heung Wa Keung that she would play this blind girl role well. Thus two months before the shoot she would spend half a day everyday at the Hong Kong Society for the Blind to study with instructors every move of the vision impaired, including walking, food cutting, cooking and reading Braille. Because through the entire training she had to wear eye mask, she even experienced the loneliness of the blind world but also the persistence of the blind and enriched her understanding and grasp of her character. She felt very lucky to be called the "counterfeit Pak Chi". She hoped that her acting would be recognized like Pak Chi's and perform well in the film industry.
