The November release RISE OF THE LEGEND (WONG FEI HUNG ji YING HUNG YAU MUNG) was selected to be the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival closing film. On November 14 it will have an advanced screening. The response has been enthusiastic after two days of ticket sales. At the same time, seven Hong Kong version character posters were unveiled. They featured Sammo Hung Kam Bo, Eddie Peng Yu-Yen, Jing Boran, Wang Luodan, Angelababy and Tony Leung Ka Fai. Each featured one of the colors of black, gold, red, purple, white, blue, or green. The most outstanding was Peng Yu-Yen's, as his chest busted out of his clothes from fighting.
Earlier director Roy Chow Hin Yeung and his wife and screen writer To Chi Long personally went to the cinema to check out the posters and even took photos with them. The biggest difference from past Wong Fei Hung films was that the story focused on Wong Fei Hung's battle and training before becoming a master. Chow Hin Yeung said that after so many years through a young and modern mentality and production technique a different Wong Fei Hung would appear, so the character would be reborn on the silver screen.
