The film and television tycoon of a generation Sir Run Run Shaw (Siu Yat Fu) passed away peacefully at home Tuesday at the age of 106. His wife Mona Fong Yat Wa yesterday held a low key funeral for him, as the closest family members and friends sent him on his final journey. After the cremation Uncle Six turned into a cloud of smoke and ending a colorful life. Aunt Six Fong Yat Wa has been running around for her husband for days and looked worn down. Her eye was teary and her sorrow was hard to hide. She waved many times to thank everyone for their concern and put her arms over her chest, signaling that everything was in her heart. Reportedly Uncle Six's ashes will be placed in his older son Shaw Wai Ming's Singapore home. The memorial event will take place next Friday (the 17th) at the Shaw Studios.

Siu Yat Fu (Uncle Six)'s funeral took place at the Hong Kong Funeral Home. As low key as he was in life, the ceremony took place privately as the closest friends and family attended. Yesterday two former chief executives Tung Chee Hwa and Donald Tsang Yam Kuen, as well as Chen Chen, Jojo Cho Chung, TVB group general manager Lee Bo On, enterprise communication department assistant chief director Tsang Sing Ming all paid their respect.

Uncle Six's older son Shaw Wai Ming, younger son Shaw Wai Chung, Fong Yat Wa and other friends and family arrived at the hall. Yesterday morning was chilly. Shaw Wai Ming heard the media greeting and replied, "I feel very cold!" Fong Yat Wa chose to enter through the back door when she arrived and was very low key. She wore a medical mask and looked sad. When the media rushed in for photos, security fell upon them like they were the enemy.

After the ceremony, around 11:15AM the family gradually filed out of the hall. Shaw Wai Ming was teary eyed and Shaw Wai Chung needed assistance from two people. Fong Yat Wa was tearful with a look of sorrow, with a female friend accompanying her. The media mobbed her and made taking any step difficult. Chen Chen followed, with her eyes all red from crying. Fong Yat Wa composed herself after getting in the vehicle. She tightly held her hands to thank everyone for their concern and then put her hands over her chest, signaling that everything was in her heart.

When Uncle Six's hearse took off, the scene turned chaotic again. The media surrounded the hearse, with Uncle Six's photo on top and grandson inside. The police arrived to maintain order. Although a lane has been blocked for the hearse, because too many media members filled the street in the end the police erected a human wall for the hearse to leave successfully.

The hearse transported Uncle Six to the Cape Collinson Cremation around noon. The crew moved the coffin inside, as Uncle Six's grandson held the photo. Fong Yat Wa, family and friends gradually entered. The cremation ceremony took around 10 minutes to complete, thus the film and television tycoon of a generation turned into smoke. Fong Yat Wa stepped out of venue calmly. After getting into the vehicle she again patted her chest and showed appreciation for the concern. She wiped away tears with her hand.  Ultimately she had to bid farewell to her companion of several decades, sorrow was difficult to hide.

Uncle Six's ashes reportedly will be placed at older son Shaw Wai Ming's Singapore home. The memorial event has been tentatively scheduled for next Thursday, now it has been postponed until Friday the 17th.

Aunt Six arrived at the Peninsula Hotel for the cleansing banquet around 12:40PM. That place was Uncle Six's favorite for tea and chats with friends. Aunt Six entered through the entrance in the back and left around 3:15PM. When she saw reporters on hand, she waved again. Her vehicle then went directly to the former Clearwater Bay Television City Shaw Studios. After she arrived she again waved to reporters to express her thanks. She said, "I am also very tired. Now I am going up to rest. You should too."
