Grace Field House is a paradisiacal orphanage filled with happiness. The orphans who live there with their “Mother”, the caretaker, Isabella, all look forward to the day they grow old enough to be adopted. Emma, Ray and Norman also believe they could lead an even happier life once they get to live in the outside world...only until "that day".

After Emma and Norman see Conny off, who smilingly leaves the orphanage to be adopted, they find the doll Conny always kept in her arms left at the dining area of the house. To take the doll back to Conny, the two head to the "gate" which Isabella strictly has taught the children to stay away from, where they find Conny dead and ready to be shipped out as "food".

The orphanage which the children thought to be was idyllic, was actually a "farm" to grow edible children to be offered to demons. Furthermore, the "Mother" they had all loved like their actual mother was actually a "cultivator" whose role was to raise the children to be premium feed.

Finding out that everything was all but a fantasy, Emma, Ray and Norman begin their reckless attempt to break out of Grace Field House along with their other siblings.

Tin Yen was born with a superpower of foreseeing one second ahead, but it didn't bring him any luck so far. Now a middle age man, he is still a loser who needs to take care of a young son with partial hearing loss and has no respect of his superpower.

One day, a boxing-holic, Shun, witnessed how Tin Yen defeated a loan shark gang by himself. He is determined to hire Tin Yen as his training assistant to beat the local boxing champion Joe. During the preliminary round, Shun had to withdraw from the match due to asthma attack. Tin Yen had no choice but to stand-in for Shun. Out of expectation, Tin Yen won with his one-second power.

Tin Yen realized in order to gain back his son's respect, he has to get himself together. Thus, he agreed to be properly trained by Shun. Suddenly, Tin Yen has turned into this new sensation "One Second Champion" who is on his way to the finals. However, due to an accident, Tin Yen lost his superpower. Will he be able to beat the killer champion Joe on his own and will Tin Yen be able to win his son's respect in the end?

How much difference does one second make? Can it be the difference between life and death? A loser single father learns that lesson the hard way when he becomes gifted with the power of seeing one second into the future. When his ability is exposed, a boxing buff persuades him to use his power in the boxing ring.
